These creatures can be found in the green sections of the Tundra.
Appearance[ | ]
Gallums have a crystal-like appearance. They usually vibrate when seen and have red, crystal-ish eyes with a scratched green armor. Are only found at areas of the tundra covered with green crystal. They will become wild and come to attack you when you harvest crystine near them.
Taming[ | ]
Once you find a Gallum Egg, you can hatch with a Gallum Incubator.
To embiggen your Gallum to Powerful level, you need a Puzzlecube.
To embiggen your Gallum to Epic level, you need a Galvanized Ribcage.
Tame Gallum produce Gallium, used to embiggen the Shirk, Blastcrab and Gallum to Epic size.
Attack Pattern[ | ]
Gallums will either see you or notice you when you break a resource near them. The Gallum will charge up for a sec and disassemble its body into three parts, teleport them around you, and will create a deadly shock ring. The parts will then reconcile at the body.
To fight them, a good strategy is to avoid them while their bodies are split and attack the stomach because other two parts will return to stomach to rebuild the body. Gallums have 100% poison resistance, which means you will get no effect using devices or bombs dealing pioson damage. However, they take 30% extra damage from electricity. This means using electirc items like shockstache, thundercall, laser leash, shock guard and flashflizzbang allows you kill them easier (along with any item/pet/combo that grants you electric power). Because they are very fast (in both of move speed and attack speed) it's better to kill them from long distance. Also they have 0% resist against physical, fire and ice damage.
