Tip 1: Gathering

If it is worth collecting everything, especially early on. You have an unlimited amount of inventory space so there's never a reason not to stop to collect a resource that might come in handy later on. Special attention should be paid to fishing spots and plants that regrow on a timer, resources that appear infrequently or in dangerous areas. As a rule of thumb, the further one goes from the middle of the camp, the rarer the resources and the tougher the mobs. Very few resources really stop being useful, as even advanced recipes often require ingredients from early stages. Collect everything you can In the beginning so that when you go to make things you have everything.

Tip 2: Potions

Potions are amazing. Potions are items that are essential because they have a shorter cooldown than healing items/plants you will find in the wild. Another important item to think about is using the right kind of potion, for example if you want to heal 555 damage you shouldn't use a potion that heals for 2,399 health, that would simply be wasteful, using the right potion for the right circumstance is important. Keep in mind that you can't switch potions in combat, so plan ahead about what you will need on your skill bar.

Tip 3: Fishing

Use the Nasty Lure trinket for going fishing. It will increase the amount of fishes by 40%. There are magic pillars in the world that provide this boost as well. Need confirmation if the boosts stack together in any way. Fishing is an important activity as it is the quickest way to get the main component for healing potions, which will be your biggest bottle-neck as you exit early-game. Fishing spots have a 2h cooldown (real time).

Tip 4: Seeding

If you start seeding your own Components then you can speed up the growth by throwing a Waterbomb on it. It will grow instantly! You can also use Harvest Bombs to instantly farm your grown Components. If you put Potted Plants nearby, it will also be affected by the Waterbomb and instantly grows. Note that some seeds require a recipe to be produced. The glowing stones in Savanna is an example of such. They drop the blueprint for the seed, require planting on a farm patch, and are affected by Water Bombs and Harvest Bombs.

Tip 5: Sleeping

A few creatures in Crashlands only appear by night. Use the Stone Bed to speed up day and night cycle. You can also make other Beds from more advanced Workstation.

Tip 6 : Creature Eggs

You can get creatures egg from the creature between the medium and the large size ONLY. The smallest creature of a species does not drop an egg. Forget about slaying 1000 wompits to get its egg. Kill the heifer wompit and the bull wompit ones.

Tip 7 : Health

1) Wear an armor that has the Vampire Buff. It can replenish your health while you are attacking your enemies.

2) Defeat the Baconweed Fairy to get the Baconband. It can replenish your health by 0.25% every second. You can get this questline from Ugy's Meadow. Talk to the Tendraam there.

3) Get an Excellent Grade armor piece. It gives you the most health among other Grades beside Legendary.

Tip 8: Progression

The game is pretty well balanced so if you are ever stuck unable to kill a monster you have encountered, it's probable that you simply aren't meant to tackle this mob yet. A combat with a tough creature should not last longer than a 2-3 minutes, unless you're facing the boss. A good indicator that the creature should be left alone is that it can one-shot you with a basic attack. As well, if the damage you deal to it is in the single digits, and after the first 30 seconds it doesn't look like you've done any damage. However, keep in mind that all creatures have varying resists and weaknesses which are worth keeping in mind.

Tip 9: Combat

When going hunting for a specific creature or 2, make sure to bring along the pet that's best suited for the job. Toughness applies against physical damage. The stun wrench, while being absolutely inedispensable, doesn't reset attacks on all mobs. Wompits do have to restart their jumps, but Glidopi don't have to re-prepare their dash. This means that if that mob is stunned right before it attacks, it will unleash the skill immediately after the stun status wears off. Luckily though, when stunned so late, it won't change trajectory when coming out of it. So if you just barely prevented an attack by using the stun wrench, you should run away from the attack that should have hit you as you would normally. This is not the case for all animals.
