Fishing is another way of harvesting components for crafting. It is also how you acquire the best weapon in the game, the The Megagong.
Savanna Fishing[ | ]
Requires a Basic Fishing Pole or a fishing bomb like the Chembobber or Fish Magnet to harvest. Fish Food can be dropped in Savanna waters to permanently spawn a fishing school in that location.
There is a rare chance of acquiring the Wobblygong.
Bawg Fishing[ | ]
Requires a Exopole or a fishing bomb like the Chembobber or Fish Magnet to harvest. Acidic Fish Food can be dropped in Bawg waters to permanently spawn a fishing school in that location.
There is a rare chance of acquiring the Jackagong.
Tundra School[ | ]
Requires a Karbopole or a fishing bomb, Fish Magnet, to harvest. Frozen Fish Food can be dropped in Tundra waters to permanently spawn a fishing school in that location.
There is a rare chance of acquiring the Bonkagong.
Fatfish[ | ]
Fatfish can be fished up from fishing holes in any biome; They can be either picked up using build mode or attacked. When attacked they explode, yielding fishing drops from the biome they are killed in. This allows for an exploit that allows you to fish up a fatfish in one biome(ex. Savanna) and pick it up, then place and open it in another biome(ex. the Bawg) in order to get fish from that biome even before you have the next fishing pole.
