Caartas Markings is an optional Questline of the Savanna. If you talk to Caarta, he will tell you about a special place, which is often markable due to the resources you find here. He will mark a yellow circle on your map which is called Caartas Gassaks or comparable.

Not that the resources will appear after he tells you about them. So it practicully generates the ressources in the moment, when he tells you about it. Now you'll need to mark them with a Wooden Writable Sign - other signs won't work for the questline. You don't need to give a symbol or a labeling for the sign - but often its usefull to use the leaf for example, because it are ressources most.

The Resources will appear at the place with the special small quest from him. So it is a usefull way to have some ressource places with a high concentration of a ressource at start.

Marking Walkerroots

You'll get 1 Wooden Writable Sign from him for accepting. Now mark a # shaped grassland with 8 walkerroots in the marked area on it with a writable sign. As Reward you'll get the Wooden writable Sign for the next Quest.

Mark the Sacred Space

Mark a triangular shaped place. As Reward you'll get the Wooden writable Sign for the next Quest.

Labeling the Twig and berries

Mark a bounty of gassaks. As Reward you'll get the Wooden writable Sign for the next Quest.

Caartas Fishing Place

Mark Caartas Fishing place (appears as an Outpost). He will teleport hisself to it and the questline ends. Theoreticly you can pick up the sign you placed again - the questline will end anyway if he has portaled. As Reward you'll get the Medicine Bag Schematic.
